I started using these motors with 3s batteries for my first flights and switched to 4s after a while. Altough they are great with 3s the increase of power on 4s is amazing. I'm using them with 6046 bullnose props and after draining a 4s 1800mAh battery they don't get warm. While flying fpv i hit the arm of an excavator with one of my motors shafts and there was absolutly no damage - just yellow paint from the excavator on the top of my motor shaft. Just picked my drone up and continued having fun.
