Q: Can I connect this to a esp32 with no modifications/addons to prevent frying a esp32?

andre1024 Yes, if you use the 3.3V output it will work fine - If you're using an esp32 breakout board which runs from usb power then you can use the 5V power output no problem.

andre1024 Do not take off display. The pins can be soldered if you have thin soldering iron tip no problem
