Q: How do I set the time on it?

smuellerenteract Press the enter button, the hours will start flashing, set them using up and down buttons, press the enter button to set the next thing, adjust the next thing using the up and down buttons, keep going until there's nothing left to set.

I purchased this to charge small power banks up, but when I hooked it up I noticed that the charge controller just keeps turning off and on. I placed it in direct sunlight and it did the same thing. I tested the output of the panel itself and it is putting out just over 5 volts constant in direct sunlight, so doesn't seem to be an issue with the panel, unless it is supposed to be higher voltage. It states 5 volt solar panel. I can't recommend it as the charge controller didn't work from the start. Now I have to build a controller myself and I shouldn't have to. Better to buy a panel and then get a separate solar controller.

cmjoinette I have built many of these to sell, so I know what works well and you can't use protected cells in these and they are not needed. They work great for harvested batteries from a laptop battery pack. Use only unprotected cells and they will fit like a glove:)
