kenanjo The frame is very straight forward to build compared to the ones with plates. No measuring at all, just put the bolts in. But if like me the excitement took over you then have to then take them out again, insert a T nut, put the bolt in, repeat many time. If you really need instructions, Search for "FYSETC bear" to find more detail to build the frame. Avoid the multiple build by reading the bear assembly from Gregason at least 3 times and note where all the t nuts go before you build the frame.

kenanjo look on github.com for gregsaun prusa_i3_bear_upgrade plus search for "FYSETC bear" to find more detail to build the frame as the frame is not the same build method as the official bear kit

kenanjo Ibought a genuine E3D hot end - there is no difference, except this one is with a PTFE insert instead of full metal. This frame is not assembled with metal brackets. There is no antibacklash on the trapezoidal screw on a Prusa.

Q: do you sell spare parts?

Asked by brownviper1966 on 2021-01-17 12:45:19

kenanjo most of the kit is from FYSTEC. There are many sellers for all parts since it is open technology. You could even go to the OEM that Prusa uses such as E3d for extruder parts. In my case I did buy a spare E3d extruder and other hot end parts. They are no better and possibly worse than the parts in the kit.

kenanjo@blackkangoo89 I built my kit according to Prusa mk3s instructions and bear upgrades. Did notice the plug on the heat bed was Mk3 and thought this was due to it being a clone. It is a very good printer. I have ordered the MMU from Prusa for ml3s and will update if this works.

kenanjo Now built and wow what a printer. Print quality is perfect. Can change filament any time. The 3 different build plates that are included are great.

kenanjo This is not quite the same as the Bear upgrade. The aluminium extrusions bolt together instead of using fixing plates, but dimensionally is exactly like the bear. According to the Prusa software mine is almost perfectly aligned. Print quality is excellent. Being using it for about 2 weeks.
