Worked out of the box. Suggest to someone to purchase either a break out board or the kit with a break out board. the wires are very small and were difficult to put DUPont connectors on.

Q: What's the life expectancy of the laser diode?

ridl8349 Iread somewhere 3 years. In ESPHome I have it measure for 20 seconds then sit for 40 seconds. Should extend the life out a ways.

Works well. Tried to extend the life and change from constant monitoring to sampling every 10 seconds or so. Can be powered directly from the Node MCU.

Works as advertised. Caution: if installed in a case ensure the sensor is shielded from the heat of the other electronics. I moved the position a few times until i found one that worked.

One of the best cases for smaller projects. Will fit a Node MCU, PMS5003 air particle monitor and a DHT22 temp and humidity monitor easily. The hole is prefect sized for the USB to power it all.
