Q: What is the maximum time delay supported? 5 minutes? more than 5 minutes?

Izaaak Hi cjbamenda This circuit is just under 5min with current capasitor and resistor values in the monosable circuit. If you look at NE555 chip circuits you can change the capaitor and resistor to increase the time of this circuit look at description for Monostable 555 Timer on this page www.electronics-tutorials.ws waveforms 555_timer.html ( add slash in the spaces to fine site ) Regards Isak

Izaaak I bought 4 and all of them gave the same problem you have, only worked for a few days
