Q: why no battery only flashlight ????

nononcents Many high(er) quality flashlights come this way, containing absolutely no extras in the box. If, indeed, you're seeking a high(er)-build-quality, aluminum-cased, IP-rated (i.e. waterproof), high(-lumen)-output LED flashlight, I'd advise you to simply avoid all flashlight products which contain: [a] a battery included, [b] an internal, "non-removable" or irreplaceable batteries, or [c] any which operates exclusively with standard battery types (e.g. AA, AAA, C, or D)

eholtzberg C'mon bro. Pandemic happened man, which backed up supply chains, and I'm sure was entirely out of the merchants control - needless to say im sure they tried their hardest to fulfill the order
