Not in a hard case package, but I think it was good enough.__No damage on the clamps.__The clamp seems to be a good quality product. I have only one issue with it. It cannot be moved lower or upper on the rod as mentioned in the descxription. Actually I do not want to that, but baxsed on descxription it should be able to do so. Moreover with that very large knob (which is totally useless) it requires more space when stored. I think I will replace that with a simple screw.
