I bought this tesla coil and I also bought a while back the mini traps coils I have build three mini tesla and they work perfect with a pretty good spark(arc) of current, this one in particular is called the gold base musical tesla coil, it is very nice and beautiful but I think I must have gotten it with a bad transistor because even though I get high frequency transmission the bulbs light up when I place them close to the coil but there is no arc of current the mini ones have four times the power this one have. P.S I already place an order on the two transistors it comes with hope this fixes the functionality of the tesla lamp.
