Pulled it out of the plastic sleeve, wiped off the oil. Unscrewed the nut and slid off a couple of spacers. Slid on a gear cutter and both the shank and bore and key are a very nice close sliding fit. I would have liked to have the spacers have a little bit closer fit but they are adequate for what they are supposed to do.

seems good quality. was expecting its main nut thread to be other direction, guess i will flip my tools and run mill in reverse if i have any trouble with it comming loose on heavy cuts...

I was disappointed that the Machifit R8 Shank Arbor, does not have provision for a key. Since it was intended for the accompanied gear cutters, I believe it should have a key,way to prevent slippage. Also the spacers should be equipped with a key way as well. I would appreciate hearing from you about this issue.
