Good Item! I am using mine with an inverter DC welder as power supply with good success. I use mine to heat rusty bolts on cars. See pictures! I use 4 or 5 turns for most of my coils, more coils = more power. So if yours is shutting off from over current then reduce the number of coils. I have used my board with both of my inverter welders with complete success, they both supply around 44-49v in use as you can probably see from the picture. I have been told these wont work with a cable between the coil and the heating module but I am using it that way. There is definitely a lot of power loss, I would guess about 200-250w when the cable is clear of any magnetic material. I used a car booster cables with a thick rubber coating. HIGH VOLTAGE PRESENT! AT YOUR OWN RISK! The cable is 4AWG and the terminal block is a 150A rated type.
Arrived quickly. Just did a quick test and it is working ok.
Good product
Having finally got round to assembling this, I'm well pleased - all works really nicely, melts stuff. The water pipe is a little too soft and I soldered a collar round the copper pipe to make a better seal, every thing else is fine as it is. Used some 8awg flexible cable meant for car stereos for the 48v/40 A supply, a bit over specced but nice.
Very well designed. It delivers
goods arrived early and were as described
looks like a very well built unit, delivery was congruent with the shipping cost, I an very eager to fire this unit up--looks like this is going to be lots of fun.
All Items Received were perfect thx
very good finish
fairly straightforward unit. soldering looks clunky. bought as a kit, so I assumed a power supply was included, but I guess I dont know how to read.
