Q: Does it have a speed control, slow and fast, or just fast?

kyniek It has proportional speed control. Inside is Hobbywing 1060 RTR version - so control is very smooth.

kyniek I guess you need a kind of light controller. Make a kind of experiment - plug light cable to any different slot on receiver - you will find out that voltage is on all channels - the middle one - signal cable is used for steering.

kyniek hi! Receiver board will pair only with MN controller. I bought whole set - receiver and the controller because I wasn't sure if it will pair with my MN 99s controller (I broke receiver ) but it paired with my old controller too. There is no instruction how to pair - only how to connect battery, motor, servo and lights. Will it work with 9.6 battery? I don't know, stock is 2S lipo - 7.4V.

kyniek No,they should work out of the box. You can check if receiver is connected to light controller board - after you will unscrew body and see what is inside you will immediately know what I mean.
