BobWet The silk screen on the back of the board says the input voltage range is 6 VDC to 12 VDC.

Looks good to me. It's solid core, you can strip it with your fingernail, and I can't see if it's copper or not. I believe I can see a bit of copper if I look at a freshly-cut wire vertically.

I bought this to replace an Irfrared controller that is installed behind my curtains. As expected, being an RF controller, it is able to control my light from across the room, and I no longer have to open the curtains and try to point the remote controller to any sweetspot of the LED controller. To change a DIY saved color, first select on one of the DIY buttons, then press one of the three basic colors (six color arrows) either to add or reduce brightness of said color You can press many times or press continuously, but beware, if you press for too much time, you might confuse the driver and it could select a demo program (doesn't make sense but... well, no harm done). Press your DIY button again and it's saved. Two more things: You can't change the brightness of a DIY color. You can't start a DIY by selecting one of the factory saved colors (let's say you choose the yellow and want to make it a little bit more red and save it to DIY1... you can't. You have to start from whatever color is already saved on your DIY1). One last thing: There is a LED on top, it's a red led to indicate that you're pressing a button.

They are not "Chinese cheap", I would expect to get 10 tips for a dollar when buying Chinese products, but they are really good, they reach target temperature so fast that I decreased the sleep time in the station to 1 minute at 90°C, there is no need to keep it running at 300°C if it reaches it at 5 seconds! Looks good, feels good, I think it's worth the price. Only time will tell.

topouzid Whenyour engine is ON the car's alternator is constantly charging your battery at 13.3V(-ish), so you're getting 13.3V on Car Lighter plug. That's normal. Switch the engine off (car at ACC position) and it should show 12V-12.6V. If you have a GEL battery type it could show 13.7V while engine is ON.

Looks good, packaged safely, is smaller than expected, haven't tried it yet. I won't use it on a $2 tip, but I would happily use it on an expensive TS80 or TS100 tip.

I purchased this on 1st December and wanted to wait a few weeks before reviewing so I could give an opinion on how this product is performing. Up until this weekend of the 27th January it has worked very well. It has a nice feature that movement lights up the display so getting into the car you see the tire pressures. It was very simple to set up and detected all the valve covers during install. I set it up for PSI which I prefer. Device had double sided tape that easily mounted on the windscreen. This weekend however I noticed that the solar panel was no longer seated on the unit correctly. The lithium battery looks like a balloon and had pushed the solar panel out of the unit. I am truly thankful that I still have a car and the battery didnt explode given the solar panel will continue to charge the swollen battery.

topouzid Themetal particles you're seeing is actually mercury (the liquid metal element) and is required by those lamps in order to work. If you light it up, mercury evaporates inside the tube and makes continuity between the two poles (anode/cathode). And since mercury is highly toxic, poisonous and carcinogenic, if you break this lamp while it was on, it's crucial to leave the room immediately and aerate it, and then carefully pick the broken glass light (wearing gloves if possible) and pick any traces of liquid mercury you'll find near the broken light, and throw it as far as possible.
