Q: Does camera require an external power source?

Asked by BG223241751 on 2021-08-08 07:39:14

AllyCat Yes, it requires a USB (Type A) adapter which is NOT supplied. However, it does include a short (75 cm) USB-Micro cable and its power consumption is quite low (160-320 mA with IR Illumination Off-On, which unusually is remotely controllable).

Q: Can I use v380 pro app to view camera screen?

Asked by Tobiaas on 2021-08-07 06:49:57

AllyCat The description might imply that it uses the V380 App, but the Manual and QR link show that it actually requires a download of the "HDwificamPro" App, which has far fewer features than the V380S or V380Pro apps. My V380 apps couldn't find it. :-(

AlanTerry Default mode (eg. after the battery goes flat) is fully OFF. Keep pressing the button until the LED stays off. Press the button once to turn the LED "permanently" ON (for about 2 - 3 hours until the battery goes flat). Press a second time for normal "Motion Detection" mode, i.e. ON for about 25 seconds, then turns off. Press a third time for the light to remain "dim" after the normal Motion Detection period. Press once more to return to OFF. During daylight, it appears to flash briefly twice at each mode change, except to OFF (or unplug the cable to emulate night).

AlanTerry Yes, it has a "continuously on" mode but this uses 2 Watts and it's a 4 Watt-hour battery, so will only run for about 2 hours. However, there is also a "dim" mode which uses about 100 mW (except for about 25 seconds full brightness after motion is detected) which should work all night (provided the battery is sufficiently charged during the day).
