Docfpv yes plenty of room I have got my 6s battery ans gopro session 5 so I believe the hero is thinner than session 5 so yes it will fit with the extra long velcro strap to go all the way around over then under the front reinforced housing unit as it doesn't come with strap slots you will have to rap it all the way around
