Thought this used scaple blades which you could replace but it's fixed. However the blade is around 1.7mm and secured well, so I guess you'll be able to sharpen easily. Easy to hold for cutting envelopes or fruit. In conclusion I'm happy with item and quality

I thought it was a little bigger, and the blade came with imperfection on the edge.
