The device itself is great and hardly more expensive than a normal quality traditional kettle, so it is absolutely worth its price. There are just two minor things that the manufacturer should have paid attention to: 1) It's fine that the sides are insulated, but the decorative strip on the top (since the inner metal tank is one piece) conducts heat very well and can be unpleasant if someone touches it. 2) The fact that the lid doesn't open completely to avoid steam spouts is pretty good. However, the water that condenses on the lid (which is still hot) drips right onto your hand. Aside from these, it was absolutely a good buy.
