Original LDO Orbiter 2.0 extruder, with serial number. LDO Motors and Bondtech machined gears, you can see the good workmanship.
Very light. The body of the extruder is made of injection molded plastic parts made of glass fiber reinforced nylon, instead of molded as in other extruders, which should give it more rigidity and durability.
The finishes are very good, nothing to envy to other more expensive extruders, such as Bondtech's BMG, whose price is currently 50% more expensive than this Orbiter, including the stepper. (the BMG is supplied "peeled," it doesn't have a motor, you have to buy it separately).
I think it's a great option, a shame that the project went from being totally open source as it was in the beginning and the creator decided to monetize it 100%, but hey, if the price is kept above $55~69 it's still worth it.
If you can't find it above this price range, as consumers we should look for other alternatives, we can't always pay ask because today it will cost 70€ and tomorrow 80€ and everyone will go out of the ring.
In short, an excellent extruder, more than approved by the community, original and with engine included (and not just any engine, except LDO, the same brand that is mounted on Prusa printers) and gears with Bondtech quality machining. You can't ask for more. If you find it for around £60, it's a safe buy.
