Mine arrived in soft packaging and the individual boxes are some what crushed. Bear this in mind if you are giftting them. The units shipped were the newer type: Sonoff RF R2 POWER V1.0 https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/wiki/Sonoff-Basic I wanted to hack them with Tasmota so this has a few implications. First I need 4 pin sockets for the serial interface, not the 5 I was expecting having done prior research/ Also you have to carefully move the main power wires aside to get to the pins. Also if you were wanting to use additional GPIO's these have changed. Look at the above link for more information. However they flashed easily and without problem. Nice units.
