it appeared to have some sorts of mold excess on it, i tested the probes in continuity mode; sometimes it took, others didn't, I really like the fact of them being thin and sharp; yet you defeat the whole purpose of them if they aren't be able to make contact, I have yet to test them in real circuitry. the wires are flexible but they are not silicon
