Hey guys who says this machine is cheetah rated at 250A. do your homework!! READ THE SPEC. • @ 24v it has 100% duty cycle efficiency @ 120A • @ 30v it has 50% Duty cycle efficiency @ 250A that means at full power 30v it has 50% of 250A = so when you turn your knob to full power you still got 125A. That means smaller rods like 2mm may welding good at 24v 50A, at this stage the machine delivers 100% efficiency. but larger rods like 3.25mm needs 30v but the machine can still only deliver 125A course efficiency runs down to 50% It's logical. law of energy. energy transformation will always lose a little energy. in ti's case in shape of heat. If you have 230v power line and 10A fuse. You can use maximum of 2300watts before the fuse will blow. so let's calculate on the welding macine. Welding at 30volt and 125ampere continously 30×125=3750watts. WE CANT SIMPLY consume 3750watts when we only have 2300watts in our power outlets. Imagine 250A at 30v = 7500w Then you need a 3 phase welding macine. This welder does a good job. It is capable of welding my 3.25mm aw6013 rods. A friend with 30years welding experience, tested and gave his judgement. He said it welds good, runs smooth and he could easily do good quality and nice looking weldings up to 3.25mm rods. But it's maxed out at 250A with 3.25 rods. what may concern me. about the machine. It's cheap. That means cheaper components. Chinese capacitors are not good. They normaly preform poor in switching power techniques. When the cap doesn't preform, the IGBT switch will work hard and could end up in fire. I will definitely change my big cap for two Ketmet 470uf 450v AL80 series. ALC80A391DD400
