I checked the item and found no scratch whatsoever. 1- Here is what I did to test its squareness and 45 degree: 2- Used Starrett double square and drew parallel lines 3- Took the Track Square on Makita guide rail and drew a line on 45 degrees to cross the parallel lines 4- Took an engineer Protractor and measure if it is really 45 degree 5- Bang, it is 45.
