The lamp has two brightness modes, the first click of the button switch will turn the lamp on in mode-1, which by default is maximum brightness, a second click will change to mode-2, by default a medium brightness, and a third click will turn it off. From mode-1 there is no way to turn the lamp off without first going into mode-2, and there is no way to go from mode-2 to mode-1 without turning it off first. From any mode (including Off), a quick double click will start a fast strobe mode, and a further double click will start the SOS mode. When the battery charge gets low, the lamp will enter fast strobe mode, which I suppose is better than just going out suddenly, but I would have preferred a gradual fade out. Both brightness modes can be sleeplessly configured to any brightness between maximum and an ultra-low (which is probably around one or two lumen) by holding down the switch whilst the lamp is on and releasing it when the desired brightness is reached. The modes will be memorized until reset by a battery change. When maximum brightness is reached, this will be indicated by three quick flashes of the lamp. There is no indication for minimum brightness. I find the beam pleasant for hiking, it being a fairly neutral white to my eye, but much cooler than my Fenix HL55, which is supposedly "Neutral white" but looks very warm to my eyes. The beam has a medium size hot-spot. The spill beam is of medium intensity relative to the hot-spot, and I consider this to be a good balance for pleasant hiking. CONS: The switch stands proud of the lamp, and because of this it is very prone to accidental activation when carried in a coat pocket or backpack. I take a 58cm hat size, I find the strap too short & tight when worn over a padded cap. I'm not keen on the interface, but this is somewhat subjective. The lamp can unscrew at the wrong places, and you need to check everything is screwed down tight before first use. Here is what I dislike most like about this lamp. When changing the battery the lamp always comes on at full power, irrespective of the fact that to lamp is switched off before the change. This happens both when removing and inserting the battery. If the lamp is pointing at your eyes (or anyone else) when the battery is changed it will result in at least temporary blindness, and I suspect that permanent eye damage may be possible. I have at least 9 headlamps of various makes and models, and this is the only one that comes on automatically whilst changing the battery.

We now have four of these in our family. It has a nice mix of a throw beam, with plenty of spilll. The brightness if fully adjustable, and it has two settings, each adjustable. So if you prefer it to come on higher first, and lower second you can set it to do that, or low first and high second. I just bought two more because I think they were discontinued, and I wanted another one. This way I have one to gift, or keep as a back up.

Нормальный фонарик. Никаких вопросов. Цвет - холодный белый. Работает великолепно.

This is a great little headlamp. Great build quality, solid switch. Powerful enough to cut through the darkest forest or underhood corner but light enough to be worn for long periods or when running without issue. Bright and dim modes with a rapid click to get to sos and strobe are adequate. The beam is focused but the reflector is orange peel so the spill is quite large and bright. For the price, I don't think there is a better headlamp available right now. The only minor issue I've experienced is some strange behavior with light stability/on-off consistency issues when the battery is low.

The frame and housing is made from solid metal, looks good, looks solid. What I'm missing is the possibility to focus the light, but it was not in description, so it's not a product bug, only I should read more carefully the description. The light produced is quite qood, expected a bit more. Overally I'm satisfied with the product.

I chose this model thinking it will be better to go running compare to an other one I have which has a batttery pack at the back and is a bit on the heavy side. This one is definitely lighter and therfore more confortable and the light is more than powerfull enough for a run in the dark. Having said that, I still prefer my older model as having weight on both side of the head gives it more stability when running. But otherwise great light for the price.

I wanted to buy a headlamp with reasonable intensity (2-300lm) and with controlled output over the whole battery capacity. The branded ones I checked were over 100$, so I decided to give this a try. I am absolutely satisfied with this one, it is solid, rugged and provides the preset light intensity until the battery is completely discharged!

Bought this and it gets almost daily use, comfortable to wear, not too front heavy. Battery life seems ok, it starts a fast flash when battery is very low and doesn't just go out. Does not destroy lithiums by over discharge as a previous unit I purchased does. gets warm when on high for an hour or so but does not transmit heat to the head due to the design. Very happy with this one.
