It measures the DC-DC current through its clamp. When the probes are placed between the current, it measures 2A or 20 / 400A AC current. For a long time, I have been using all its functions continuously. It gives the values properly, like other multi-meters. Is my advice. Its quality is sufficient for its cost. User manual language is Chinese ..! At least I expected it to come with an English manual ..!
