    This is definetelly worth buying. I tested it already- it took 9.5 days to ferment garlic. Before I had a cheaper one...and it was disaster. You see, in cheap models there is main heating element(wire) directly attached to the pot's(bottom) surface. Well, it causes garlic at the bottom to overheat and dry out, while at the top they are too wet. More advanced models (like this one) uses double pot design - there are about 3...5 mm air gap between pots and that solves the prblem. And You can't save overdried ones - they are bitter as hell. Too wet ones You can try to put on extra fermenting/drying and probably save 'em. Good luck with fermenting everybody:)
