This plane is very poorly designed. It's a mixture of Chinese and western style planes, and it just fails. The wedge won't stay in place, and it takes far too long to adjust. The body is OK, but the bottom is not really flat. The blade is of reasonable quality, but did require a lot of sharpening. I ended up making my own wedge with a simple screw lock mechanism (see photos), and with it, it works just fine.
