This thing is pretty cool. I got the "USB" 6 watt version, but in fact it is just a 5 VDC device, without a USB connector. It has a number of different modes including a cool white light mode and a warm white mode called yellow. It draws just under 1 Amp at 5.3 volts so the 6Watt rating is accurate. I am pretty sure this will need a heat sink or it will burn itself up. The metal plate got pretty hot after just 5 minutes of initial testing. Check the questions section and hopefully the seller will explain. The biggest disappointment is the remote. From the picture it looks like it has rubber buttons, but actually it has the plastic bubble overlay style that never seem to last well. On one of the remotes one of the buttons is convex and sometime gets stuck in the down position. As you can see from the pictures, it puts out enough light to mostly illuminate my powder room. Since it is a primarily what I would call a "mood light" I think that is sufficient. I have not decided how I will use it.
