For what it is capable of, the inverter works. The waveform is clean (oscilloscope) and the voltage is correct. However, the inverter just barely manages to handle 500 watts. It can start a cold "500 watt" halogen work light (as measured by a KillAWatt meter, that light draws 440 watts) plus a 100 watt incandescent bulb. The inverter can NOT power a 650 watt hot air gun (for heat shrink tubing) or a 750 watt space heater. For the delivered price of about $50US, it's a very good deal for a 500 watt pure sine wave inverter. Had they initially labeled this as a "500 watt inverter" and sold it for the current price, I would have given it 5 stars for having an accurate and truthful description and being a very good buy. The meters for DC input volts and AC output volts are close. I'm aware that the ad writers may know near zero about anything electrical or electronic and that lack of knowledge is painfully on display when they list totally impossible power levels from very small devices.

Got it a month ago. All the time at work. No complaints yet. The RMS sinus is clear. The maximum load was not checked.
