    Excellent power supply, no problems to build. The PCB has a good parts print, no problem to place the right part. I have ordered the "Heat Sink + Cooling Fan Kit" ( Product ID 1067407 ), the case "Electronic Plastic Shell Case Desk( Product ID 1035473 ), "Nickel Plated Binding Post" ( Product ID 953213 ), "Plastic For Rotary Taper Knob" ( Product ID 953378 ), "3 in 1 Power Supply Socket" ( Product ID 1051419 ) and "0-33.00V 0-1A-3A Four Bit Variable Precision Voltage Current Meter" ( Product ID 1061330 ). The later because I wanted a more precise display for the real current specially in the low current range. You can see, the voltage is relative precise, the current from the internal display is a little bit higher than the real current. The only thing I could not buy from Banggod was the transformer. This power supply is a great enhancement for my electronic workplace !

    This kit is a relatively easy easy build and the PCB and all components seem to be of good quality. Setup and calibration is simple and the completed power supply is a sturdy addition to your test bench. Make sure you also buy the case and heatsink & fan when buying this kit. Also, no transformer is provided so a 50+VA 24V (or 12v-0-12v) should be sourced separately. For a finishing touch, buy a couple of push-on knobs for the voltage and current selection controls.

    I bought this kit as a small time filling project. I didn't need another PSU but I was tempted by the digital control side of things instead of the usual analogue type. The kit as supplied took an hour to build, no real challenge so is ideal for beginners in that respect but it is useless to a novice who has no spares or 'junk box' to pull the needed parts from. The hardest parts to source would be the heatsink and the case. I have read reviews here saying that the fan is hard to get hold of but the first one i pulled from my junk pile was 24v, made by Papst. I never used it in the end as I used a heatsink with a reasonable surface area. If you need a fan, the any 12v fan will do, just add in a resistor to give you the required voltage drop. The other thing that would be hard for a novice to source would be a suitable transformer. Again, the first one I pulled out of my junk box was a 3-5A one from an old cb psu. I did find a couple of torroidal transformers but they were too small current wise. I had a spare plastic instrument case so adapted it to fit all the boards and extended cables when I needed to. The fitting and cutting of the case took far longer than the electronics part. After I had built it, first switch on showed just a plain display but when I adjusted the contrast it worked fine. I then calibrated it against my fluke 77 and my Avo 8 Meters. a small adjustment on the main board pot and it matched the displayed voltage to the actual voltage on the external meter. There is a slight discrepance at the extreme ends of the range but as I plan to be usin this closer to the bottom end voltage wise I settled on making it accurate at 7.5v and that kept it within 100mV of the actual output from 1v up to 15v How would I improve the kit? Well, making it complete would be a start. To finish it you will need:- Transformer Heatsink Fan Case Mains Socket Power switch Mains cable Fuse holder Fuse Control knobs Output terminals Screws/bolts. Overall, it was a fun easy build, but as I worked as an electronics engineer for many years I may be overstating its simplicity, especially for those who are just starting in electronics. The quality of the supplied components is good, its just that you need so much more to finish it that I have to mark it down on overall score. To buy all the missing parts will easily double the kit price but it would be worth it if Banggood gave you the option.

    The DIY kit came on time and was a lot of fun to build. It works great and did not have any issues. Only needed to adjust the 10K pot on the control board to get the display to show its information when I first powered it up the display was blank, and then adjust the 1K volt trimpot on the main board to get the output voltage to match reading on the display. I am very happy with the finished project.

    I bought two of these power supplies. The first one is already assembled and I'm now working on the second one. It's easy to assemble and you don't need documentation as it's all clear marked on the PCB. The only thing I do before starting, is laying everything side by side and measure all resistors. Then with a pencil I write the resistance on the paper. Because when you make a mistake it can cause further damage. I also bought the big heat sink with cooling fan, just to make sure the power supply can work at full capacity. Later I will put it all together in an enclosure that I also bought on Banggood, but since there were no screws to close that enclosure, I had to order those and now I'm waiting for those screws...

    Product as description. Assembled the diy kit and installed also the cooling kit for the power transistor. Function test was ok working as expected. fine tune the output voltage to match the display. Reccomend.

    The kit is come with all the components for build, except for the transformer that you need to guy apart, just like the description show all parts is packed in a small bag into a cardboard. The only thing I see not good is because not include instructions for build, is you NOT are familiarized with electronic projects this may be difficult to assemble and tune, keep in mind when you buy it.

    This is the second power supply I bought and though I'm still assembling this one, the first one is already working. I've added an extra heat sink with cooling fan and to my idea this should be included in the kit. I also added a smaller heat sink for the smaller power transistor because transistors don't like heat :) And of course I didn't forgot to add the thermal paste. Later when the screws for my enclosure arrives (that I bought on Banggood), I will put my both power supplies in it. I like these supplies!
